A Month of Prayer and Declaration for the Shoals Area

HISTORY

This website is created for the glory of God to bring believers in the Shoals area together. On Sunday, December 11, 2011 Dutch Sheets was with our congregation here in Florence, AL. He shared a very  timely word with us and prayed for us. During the altar time, he laid his hands on me and began to pray and share a word from the Lord.. Among several things he was led to pray and speak, he shared that I would be given strategies from the Lord for this region and this season and that I was to write. Three mornings later during my prayer time, I started sensing the Lord speaking to me and showing me a strategy that was to be implemented in our region. Following is the explanation.

Beginning on January 1, 2012, this website will feature a daily prayer and declaration written to aid in praying for the spiritual transformation of the Shoals area. There will be a prayer and declaration for each of the 31 days in the month of January.

I feel the Lord led me to build this site and write these prayers and declarations as part of the strategy to seek transformation in our area. Please notice I said "part of the strategy" for I am well aware that there are many others who are seeking God, praying and travailing in intercession to see this wonderful place we live touched and changed by the glorious presence of the Lord.

I humbly ask that you pray about joining in this strategy. Imagine hundreds of believers across the Shoals and maybe even around the world all speaking the same thing, praying the same thing, and believing for the same things on the same day. I believe this very act of unity verbally expressed in faith will be explosively powerful. I believe it will be a part of what the Lord uses to see the atmosphere of our area begin to change and carry the weight of the glory and presence of the Lord.

PRAYER AND DECLARATION

Our Father in Heaven, in the name of Jesus, we come into agreement with Your desire for Your Kingdom to come and Your will to be done in the Shoals as it is in Heaven.
 
We decree that this year of 2012 is a year of the Shoals aligning with your plans and purposes.
 
We declare that your people who are called by your name will humble themselves and pray and seek your face.
 
We announce that repentance from sin and faith toward the Lord Jesus Christ is happening in the Shoals.
 
We decree that the territorial walls that have separated us from one another are coming down and the same Spirit that rose Jesus from the dead is rising up in us.
 
We declare that the Shoals is moving toward true unity of the Spirit and the bond of peace.
 
We agree with the prayer of our Savior that “We all would be one even as he and the Father are one.”
 
Through our agreement that the blood of Jesus has brought us into covenant together, we stand together in faith in the Son of God.
 
As a family of faith in the Shoals, we resist the Devil and we speak that his religious strongholds of doubt, suspicion, criticism, and prideful exaltation are being broken.

Day 2

PRAYER AND DECLARATION

Our Father in Heaven, in the name of Jesus, we come into agreement with Your desire for Your Kingdom to come and Your will to be done in the Shoals as it is in Heaven.

Armed with Jesus’ words that say, “If I be lifted up, I will draw all men unto me”, we as the body of Christ in the Shoals declare that Jesus has been lifted up and we continue to  lift him up through proclaiming the message of his death, burial, and resurrection, therefore,  he is drawing people to himself in the Shoals.
 
We agree together that we are determined to preach Christ and him crucified to the people in the Shoals; that we will lift up Jesus and what he has done and not ourselves and what we have done.
 
We declare that it is Christ who builds his church and that he is building his church in the Shoals. He is working in us both to will and do according to His good pleasure.
 
We proclaim that Jesus Christ is Lord over the Shoals. We proclaim that Jesus Christ has the preeminence in the body of Christ in the Shoals.
 
We align our hearts and decree that every man, woman, boy and girl in the Shoals area will hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ and that we as God’s people will experience a greater desire to walk and serve in the love of God and the power of the Holy Spirit that enables us to be witnesses to the people who live in the Shoals.
 
We stand against those things that arise out of the plans of men and the workings of Satan that would cause us to be distracted from our primary mission of sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ with the people of the Shoals.
 
We decree that the attitudes of indifference and complacency are being changed and that God’s people are being filled with the compassion of Jesus Christ for the people of the Shoals.
 
May the fires of revival burn in all our hearts and may we be sent forth in love and power!

PRAYER AND DECLARATION

Our Father in Heaven, in the name of Jesus, we come into agreement with Your desire for Your Kingdom to come and Your will to be done in the Shoals as it is in Heaven.

 
As believers in the Shoals area, we agree with God’s Word that by faith we are made righteous by the blood of Jesus Christ. 
 
Together we stand against the stronghold of self-righteous works that are offered in the place of the finished work of Christ. We proclaim, “It is not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He has saved us.”
 
We proclaim that we are seeking first His kingdom and His righteousness and that everything we need to fulfill His purposes through our lives for the Shoals region is being added unto us.
 
Through the righteousness of Jesus Christ, we decree that the light of his life is shining through us his bride. We declare that this light dispels darkness in the Shoals and the powers of darkeness in the Shoals are being defeated by the light of His glory.
 
We decree that God’s people across the Shoals are awakening and that the revelation of who we are in Christ is being received. We declare that we are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus; we are a royal people and a holy priesthood.
 
By faith, in Christ, we will see the answers to the prayer for harvest and renewal.
 
We decree, Shine Shoals shine! With the glory of God, shine Shoals shine!

PRAYER AND DECLARATION

Our Father in Heaven, in the name of Jesus, we come into agreement with Your desire for Your Kingdom to come and Your will to be done in the Shoals as it is in Heaven.

 
In agreement with God’s Word, we decree that we the body of Christ in the Shoals are a people of the Spirit. It is not by might, nor power, but by the Spirit of the Lord that the Shoals will experience glorious transformation.
 
We are a people being led by the Holy Spirit. We submit to the leadership of the Holy Spirit. We pray that we will not grieve God’s Spirit. We pray that we will not quench God’s Spirit. We pray that God’s people in no way would despise the work of God’s Spirit.
 
We proclaim that the rivers of living water are flowing out of the innermost being of Christ’s Bride in the Shoals and this flowing river is meeting the need of the thirst of souls in the Shoals.
 
We call people in the Shoals region from the North, South, East, and West to come and drink of the waters of life freely.
 
Together we believe for a great outpouring of the Spirit across the Shoals. We believe that the Shoals area will experience the power of the Spirit in great measure witnessed in people’s lives being transformed.
 
We declare that God will have His way in the Shoals and that we are setting our hearts in alignment with His heart for the Shoals.

PRAYER AND DECLARATION

Our Father in Heaven, in the name of Jesus, we come into agreement with Your desire for Your Kingdom to come and Your will to be done in the Shoals as it is in Heaven.

 
In agreement with Your Word, Lord, we as your people choose to humble ourselves under Your mighty hand. We believe that you will bring promotion to the Shoals at the right time.
 
We declare that your Bride in the Shoals is being clothed with humility.
 
We decree that the Spirit of God is moving upon us and bringing us into one mind and one accord. We are letting the mind of Christ to be in us that also was in Christ Jesus our Lord.
 
We declare that the Shoals will be the place where the body of Christ serves others rather than seeking to be served.
 
We pray in agreement this day believing that you are bringing Your people deeper into servanthood out of the self-centeredness that has hindered Your work in our area. Remove it O God from within us. We set our hearts to serve you by serving those in need in the Shoals area.
 
We declare that as we serve those You have sent us to serve that all our needs will be met according to the riches that are in glory in Christ Jesus.
 
May Shoals area believers choose to serve; may we choose to be humble; may we position our hearts to receive God’s grace to do God’s will.

PRAYER AND DECLARATION
 
Our Father in Heaven, in the name of Jesus, we come into agreement with Your desire for Your Kingdom to come and Your will to be done in the Shoals as it is in Heaven.
 
As the body of Christ in the Shoals area, we declare that we believe we are who God’s Word says we are in Christ.
 
We are the sons and daughters of God. We are overcomers. We are a people who have victory through our faith. We decree that “Greater is He Who is in us, than he who is in the world.” We are kings and priests through Him. We are a royal priesthood. We have been adopted into the family of God and we are joint heirs with Jesus Christ.
 
In knowing who we rightfully are, we call God’s people out of the place of false humility, condemnation, and false identity. We say "Rise up children of God." We say, "You are who God says you are, and you can do what God says you can do."
 
We declare freedom is coming in greater measure than ever before to the Shoals. People will be freed from their mental bondages, their ancestral bondages, their emotional bondages, their physical bondages and their spiritual bondages.
 
We proclaim that who the Son makes free is free indeed.
 
We declare that God is releasing strategies to us so that we will know what to do to see His purposes fulfilled.
 
We declare that we are being liberated from the insecurities that come from not having our identities rooted in Christ. We are being freed from the manipulation and control that comes when people compete for positions. We declare that our position is in Christ Jesus and we are family and will no longer be divided.
 
We announce this day that we will not be moved because we are firmly rooted in the foundation that no man can lay. Our lives are hid with Christ in God.

PRAYER AND DECLARATION

Our Father in Heaven, in the name of Jesus, we come into agreement with Your desire for Your Kingdom to come and Your will to be done in the Shoals as it is in Heaven.

 
We proclaim today that the joy of the Lord is our strength. We rejoice today that we are a people who have found the wellspring of true pleasure—the presence of the Lord.
We decree over the Shoals that He is enough! We declare that the Lord is our Shepherd. We declare that God is our Father and gives good gifts to His children.
 
We agree and decree that the people in the Shoals will experience the joy and pleasure that comes in experiencing the presence of the Lord. We declare that an atmosphere of joy will prevail in this area as people began to awaken to the reality that God is in our midst and that He is love and that He loves them.
 
We announce that the kingdom of God is righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Ghost. This is what we expect for the Shoals and this is what we declare the Shoals will have in great measure.
 
This is the acceptable year of the Lord. This is a year of the Lord’s favor.
 
We will rejoice in the Lord always and at all times His praise will be upon our lips.
 
We renounce and repent of the bitter critical words that we have spoken that have hindered our joy and aided the enemy in his causes. We stand in the place of forgiveness this day, having our sins cleansed by the blood of Jesus Christ.
 
We will dance in joy at what our great God does. When our brothers and sisters rejoice, we rejoice with them.

We will not envy.

We will not be jealous.
We will bless and not curse.

PRAYER AND DECLARATION
 
Our Father in Heaven, in the name of Jesus, we come into agreement with Your desire for Your Kingdom to come and Your will to be done in the Shoals as it is in Heaven.
 
Let the love of God abound in the Shoals!
Let the love of God flow through God’s people!
Let the love of God overtake those running from God!
Let the love of God overtake those angry at God!
 
We decree that when God is moving that love is moving because God is love.
 
As believers in the Shoals, we renounce the attitudes and tendencies we have to react in a spirit contrary to love. We decree that we are a people of love and that we carry a message of love and we serve a God of love.
 
We declare that good triumphs over evil and love triumphs over hate. We declare that as God’s children we will love one another as Christ loves us.
 
We set our hearts to love our enemies and bless those who curse us.
 
We declare that God’s love never fails and because of that the Shoals area is being transformed.
 
We stand against our adversary, the devil, and cast down his works of hatred through the blood of Jesus and the love of God. We rise up against the attitudes that are harbored in hatred.
 
We renounce prejudice toward those who are different than we.
We renounce the strongholds of racial pride, spiritual pride, denominational pride, socio-economic pride, and cast them down at the feet of Jesus Christ who died for all to come to him to be saved.
 
We will love.
We will serve.
We as God’s sons and daughters will see the Shoals through the loving eyes of our Father God.

PRAYER AND DECLARATION
 
Our Father in Heaven, in the name of Jesus, we come into agreement with Your desire for Your Kingdom to come and Your will to be done in the Shoals as it is in Heaven.
 
As a body of believers, this day, with one mind and in one accord, we agree that …
 
We will honor one another.
We will prefer one another.
We will walk humbly together for the sake of our Lord and for the advance of His Kingdom.
 
We repent and renounce the dishonor we have sown through our thoughts, words, actions, and intentions. We call these words, motives, and actions sin. We confess that the blood of Jesus Christ cleanses us from these things.
 
This is a new day, a new year, and as never before, we are becoming a people of honor.
 
As believers of the Lord Jesus Christ, we declare this day that ….
 
We will honor those in authority in our government.
We will honor those in authority in our schools.
We will honor those in authority in our churches.
We will honor those in authority in our families.
 
We align ourselves with God’s Word which calls us to lives of honor. We will not rely on the manipulative tactics of the past that bring about division and dishonor.
 
We will speak the truth in love.
We will let love cover a multitude of sins.
We will not keep records of wrong.
We will defend one another against the attacks of our adversary.
We will uphold one another through our prayers.
We will not align with anyone or any spirit that tempts us into a place of dishonor.
 
We will stand together in the power of the Holy Spirit to see old wounds healed, ancient breaches restored, and a new day of honor arise over the Shoals.
 
We decree in the name of Jesus Christ that the Shoals will be a place where people honor one another and where parents teach and model honor in the home, and leaders teach and model honor in the churches.
